Madeira Island Nature Walks

Madeira has a rich culture and unique history. We therefore invite you to go with us back in time, experience the beautiful and interesting past of Madeira, and taste the real Green Pearl of the Atlantic Ocean.

Your day will start with a visit to the small but idyllic local market of Santa Cruz that offers a large variety of flowers, fish and vegetables. After that a short drive takes you to the isolated area called Referta where we invite you for a one hour Leveda walk (suitable for all ages).

We continue our journey to Faial and visit the view point at Guindaste. After that we will enter Santana, were you will be offered a traditional lunch and wine tasting at Madeira’s romantic restaurant Quinta do Furão with its breathtaking coastal views!

In the afternoon we will visit Portela (669 meter), where you will be fascinated with spectacular views over Porto da Cruz and Machico. After experiencing these amazing views we will continue to drive to Madeira’s highest village Santo da Serra (550 meter), where you will visit a unique market, favorite by the locals, where they proudly present their local cultivated products.

The last phase of the journey will continue through the rural side to ensure that you experience the “Real Taste of Madeira”.
